AUDIT POLICY

If you want to repeat a class  you may do so for approximately 2/3 of the regular tuition price.

Save $250.

Keys Beach

Auditing is for students who have already taken the class.

To become a WATSU practitioner, you can save on the cost of tuition

by choosing to "audit" a class as your elective.

For instance, you could take Watsu I and II, audit Watsu II, then take Watsu III.

You may also audit a class to meet requirements for continuing education.

Auditing is a great way to brush up on material, explore creatively with other professionals, or just "getaway".

For more information, contact Minakshi at minakshiwatsu@comast.net

A pre-requisite to Watsu III is to

"DEMONSTRATE MASTERY"

of the Watsu II material.

This is usually done by giving a session to a qualified assistant or instructor.

The fee for the demonstration of mastery is dependent

upon the instructor's hourly rate.

This demonstration and/or tutelage may take from 1 to 8 hours,

depending on the student's skill level.

You can arrange to demonstrate mastery with Minakshi

OR

Because the size of our facility

accommodates small groups,

for a limited time

we are able to make a very special offer at this facility only.

For $100,

You can demonstrate mastery of the Watsu II material,

(at the beginning of the Watsu III class)

during a session given to a student model,

while having a professional video made.

This video is the same quality as our own promotional video,

including sound and packaging.

The video is then assessed by Minakshi.

Advantages are that students can see their own body mechanics

and the video is yours to be used for promotional purposes.

A truly effective approach to self-care is holistic & multi-faceted.

It encompasses ergonomics, body mechanics, technique modification, physical conditioning and a number of other important factors.

Yoga teaches self-awareness by inspiring reflection inward & re-connection to one’s intuitive wisdom, energy & creativity. There is an inner dialogue with the body that increases feeling and freedom of movement. This effectively helps with managing risk to avoid physical stress & avoid injury.

The physical and mental benefits of Massage therapy are well documented and listed below. We offer a form of yoga and massage therapy in warm water.

Hydrotherapy is one the oldest and safest methods for treating many common ailments. (See list of benefits below.)

Anxiety (from dealing with a difficult economy, for instance) can put one’s own health and career in jeopardy.

Commercial fishermen have a high risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders due to the physical demands of their work.

This can have both short- and long- term effects on maintaining their normal workload and sometimes even maintaining their profession.

We have effective strategies for managing and reducing these risks.

The most important areas to emphasize in this holistic approach to self care:

to keep up with the physical demands of their work.
Be good to yourself!

Benefits of Yoga

The practice of yoga emphasizes body-spirit-mind involvement. Yoga's stress reduction helps alleviate other problems, experts say. The ancient practice of yoga is increasingly finding a new following--among doctors and medical researchers who are working to prove its benefits for a variety of illnesses. "There's been an explosion of data using yoga as a treatment option", said Dr. Shelley Wroth, an obstetrician at Duke Integrative Medicine and a yoga teacher. She said studies have found that yoga helps people suffering diseases such as hypertension, anxiety, arthritis, chronic back pain, carpal tunner syndrome, fibromyalgia, stress, depression, diabets and epilepsy--among others. Following is only a partial list of yoga's other benefits:
