In January 1998 Minakshi opened the
Aquatic Bodywork Island Studio

in the Florida Keys.
She teachers here regularly along with other notable
WABA Instructors.

Minakshi

Minakshi  is a leading

Aquatic Bodywork Instructor for Healing Arts Professionals
who want to grow their practice
with ease.

Her system offers a proven four step protocol

(WATSU I, II, III and an elective)

for strengthening the confidence and practical skills needed to create

a full and prosperous aquatic bodywork practice.

Minakshi
has been studying and practicing

bodywork since 1980.

In addition to her work in the water,

she has explored

Acupressure,

Ayurveda,

Continuum,

Cranio-Sacral Therapy,

Feldenkrais,

Hatha Yoga,

Hellerwork,

Polarity

and more.

 

 

She taught Ashtanga Yoga

at Mount Madonna Center in California,

from 1981-1987.

Then lived in New Zealand

for a couple of years,

where she continued to teach yoga

as well as to weave French tapestries.

 

Since 1990,

Minakshi has worked closely with Harold Dull,

the creator of Watsu®,

and became a certified instructor in 1991.

She co-taught with numerous other instructors

well known in WABA, the

Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association.

She has taught

WaterDancing, Fire and Water, and WATSU

to thousands of students

in hundreds of fifty-hour classes

throughout the USA and in Canada,

Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Greece and Poland.

In 2009 she became qualified by Red Cross

to teach CPR and First Aid.

 

Shinzo Fujimaki

 


was born in Japan and learned the art of healing touch (Shiatsu) at an early age, massaging members of his family.
He demonstrated a gift for healing and has been a very successful Shiatsu Practitioner and Instructor for over 20 years.
As a longtime student of Aikido, he has integrated the discipline, training and philosophy of Aikido into his teachings.

Shiatsu
helps open and release blockages in the meridians

and restore balance and wellness to the entire body and mind.

Shinzo's Style reflects his unique understanding of traditional point work, meridian stretches, chakra holds, yin/yang theory, macrobiotics and aikido. 

He and Minakshi developed an Aquatic Shiatsu ® program.

It is called Fire and Water®.

 

This shiatsu class meets WABA requirements

for becoming a WATSU® practitioner.
